All aboard for a Day Out With Thomas!
Join Mid Hants Railway Watercress Line as they welcome Thomas for a day of family fun. A ticket for Day Out With Thomas includes the train ride with Thomas as well as a variety of Thomas & Friends™ themed entertainment. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet The Fat Controller from the Island of Sodor.

How to get here
The Mid Hants Railway 'Watercress Line' is located 7 miles from Winchester on the A31, just a few minutes from the M3 Junctions 9 & 10.
From the North, South and West head to the M3 Junction 9 (or Junction 10 northbound) and follow the A31 to Alresford or on to Ropley.
From London either take the M3 or take the A3 to Guildford, then take the A31 to Alton or on to Ropley and Alresford.
From the East follow the A272 to the A31, or M27 to the M3 northbound.
Ropley Station - SO24 0BL
There is FREE parking in a field at Ropley for this event, simply follow the yellow AA road signs from the A31. It is recommended that disabled passengers join the railway at Alresford Station as it is on a single level and disabled parking is available in the station car park. Alresford Station - SO24 9JG
Alresford station car park is operated by Winchester City Council, with an overflow car park in Perins School level one, accessed from Jacklyns Lane. All Pay and Display at 30p per hour, £1.50 for over 4 hours, coins only. Free on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Additional parking at Perins School on levels 2 and 3 during school holidays only, accessed from The Avenue.
Alton Station - GU34 2PZ
Alton station car park is operated by South West Trains 7 days a week. There are additional spaces in this car park behind the Waitrose store, past the industrial units. Pay and Display one off charge at £6.50 peak/£3.00 Saturday/£2.00 Sunday/£3 public holiday. Pay by phone parking on 01483 345 345, location 7475. SWT operate platforms 1 and 2, the Mid Hants Railway operates from platform 3. Other town car parks are available in Draymans Way, just a short walk from the station. Please DO NOT park in the Waitrose store car park. Please purchase Day Out With Thomas tickets on platform 3.
The Mid Hants Railway has a mainline link at Alton station, where South West Trains operate platforms 1 & 2 and the Mid Hants Railway runs from platform 3. There are direct SWT services from London Waterloo to Alton (just over one hour) and from other stations to Alton via Woking.
