All aboard for a Day Out With Thomas!
Join South Devon Railway as they welcome Thomas for a day of family fun. A ticket for Day Out With Thomas includes the train ride with Thomas as well as a variety of Thomas & Friends™ themed entertainment. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet The Fat Controller from the Island of Sodor.

As well as bags of fun with a ride behind Thomas and his friends, meeting the Fat Controller, face painting and watching lots of Thomas stories, we’ve got all the fun of the fair with wonderful fairground rides, a chance to ride on Toad and the amazing Thomas imagination station.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! On a Day Out With Thomas on the South Devon Railway, our fantastic value ticket also includes a visit to see and cuddle the friendly animals at the fantastic Totnes Rare Breeds Farm and experience the unmissable tropical butterflies and see the otters from all round the world at Dartmoor Otters & Buckfast Butterflies.

There’s lots of car parking at Buckfasteligh, TQ11 0DZ or, if you are coming by train, our station at Totnes is about 500 yards from Totnes main line station.

How to get here
Buckfastleigh is where our main car park is. It is between Exeter and Plymouth on the A38. Leave at the Dart Bridge junction and follow the brown signs.
From Paignton, Torquay, Dawlish and Teignmouth, travel via Newton Abbot and the A383 to the A38. There is ample car and coach parking. Sat Nav: TQ11 0DZ.
Totnes is on the A385 from Paignton and the A381 from Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The SDR station (Totnes Littlehempston) is reached by footpath links from Totnes main line station (less than 500 yards) and the town where there are a number of public car parks.
Totnes main line station on the Great Western main line is close to our station at Totnes Littlehempston. First Great Western and Cross Country Trains serve Totnes station. Details from National Rail Enquiries. Follow the signs to the SDR station, which is a less than 500 yard walk away.
Buses stop close to our station at Buckfastleigh and at Totnes main line station or town centre.
